The management of Morocco Tétouan is actively seeking a new head coach to replace Aziz El Amri, who was dismissed a few weeks ago due to the team’s poor performance under his leadership.

The club’s board has formed a small committee tasked with identifying a suitable candidate to lead the « Māṭ » in the coming period. According to reliable sources, this committee is working to select a coach aligned with the club’s philosophy and playing style, with a decision expected early next week.

Currently, three candidates are in contention: Fawzi Jamal, Mohamed Benchrifa, and Mourad Fallah.

Mourad Fallah has previously coached several teams, including Raja Beni Mellal, where he achieved promotion to the top division of the professional league, as well as Chabab Benguerir and Youssoufia Berrechid. He also served as an assistant coach to Houcine Ammouta at Wydad AC.

Mohamed Benchrifa, a former player for Morocco Tétouan, has come close to managing the team on multiple occasions. He has coached clubs such as Renaissance Zemamra and Chabab Soualem, and also worked as an assistant to Fawzi Benzarti at Wydad AC.

Fawzi Jamal brings extensive experience in the professional league, having managed teams like Ittihad Zemmouri de Khémisset, Kawkab Marrakech, Olympique Safi, and Mouloudia Oujda.

The club’s officials are racing against time to appoint the new coach in an effort to improve the team’s situation and steer it away from the relegation zone.
