Arrest of a Municipal Councilor in Al Hajeb for Serious Charges
The judicial police services in the city of Al Hajeb arrested a municipal councilor this Wednesday. The suspect is accused of serious offenses, including forgery, use of forged documents, breach of trust, fraud, and issuing bad checks. The arrest occurred following a trap set by law enforcement at a café in downtown Al Hajeb.
According to informed sources cited by the newspaper “Morocco 24,” the suspect was apprehended under the directives of the competent public prosecutor’s office, following a complaint filed by victims, including a Moroccan investor and his French wife residing abroad. The suspect was confronted with the charges against him.
The individual has been placed in custody for questioning, and a legal report has been prepared. He will be brought before the court in Meknès under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor.
