Results of the Voluntary Tax Regularization

The official government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, announced the outcomes of the declarations submitted by individuals concerned with the voluntary regularization of their tax status.

During a press conference following the government council meeting held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, Mr. Baitas revealed that the total amount declared by taxpayers opting for voluntary regularization of their undeclared taxable profits and incomes before January 1, 2025, reached 127 billion dirhams.

This regularization primarily involved individuals with taxable profits and incomes in Morocco that were not declared before January 1, 2024. These sums represent the source of assets and the funding of expenses, with a contribution rate set at 5%.

The assets involved include funds deposited in bank accounts, cash holdings, movable or immovable properties acquired for non-professional purposes, as well as loans recorded in partners’ current accounts or credit operations granted to third parties.
