The port of Al Hoceïma recorded a total of 46,284 passengers in both directions during 2024, with significant activity during the « Marhaba 2024 » operation to welcome Moroccans residing abroad.

According to Jihad Al Amrani, port officer, the total number of passengers arriving on Moroccan soil via this port reached 21,094, while 25,190 passengers departed. Additionally, the port handled 11,327 vehicles, including 5,472 incoming and 5,855 outgoing. However, vehicle traffic declined by 28% compared to 2023.

This decline is mainly due to a reduction in the number of maritime crossings. In 2023, the port recorded 106 crossings during the « Marhaba » operation and throughout the year, compared to only 67 crossings in 2024, with just one crossing outside the « Marhaba » operation. This represents a 37% drop in the number of crossings between the two years.

The National Ports Agency is committed to making the port a safe and comfortable hub for travelers. This includes deploying a dedicated workforce in collaboration with local authorities to ensure the safety and comfort of users. Furthermore, various technical and logistical equipment are provided to enhance the services offered.
