A tragic incident occurred yesterday, Wednesday, in the city of Khouribga, where a 14-year-old student lost his life after being electrocuted within a private educational institution.
According to informed sources, the victim was playing in the courtyard of the house affiliated with the school when he attempted to operate a swimming pool water pump. Unfortunately, this action resulted in a powerful electric shock that led to his immediate death.
The incident prompted a swift response from local authorities, with police and civil protection teams rushing to the scene.
Despite rescue efforts, the young boy took his last breath before reaching the hospital.
The body was transferred to the morgue of Hassan II Regional Hospital in Khouribga for an autopsy as ordered by the competent public prosecutor. Meanwhile, security services have launched a thorough investigation to uncover the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
