A Musical Evening to Celebrate the Amazigh New Year 2975

The Local Development Company « Casablanca Events and Animation » hosted a musical evening on Monday at the Abdellah Knoun Cultural Complex in Ain Chock District. This event was part of a series of activities scheduled from January 11 to 14 to mark the Amazigh New Year, « Iâd Yennayer » 2975.

The evening featured prominent Amazigh music artists, including the band « Oudaden, » singer Fatima Tihihit Titreit, and Raïs Arab Atiki. Fatima Tihihit delivered a blend of songs from her personal repertoire and works by renowned figures of Moroccan Amazigh music such as Haj Mohamed Demsiri and Roukia Telbensirt.

Organized in partnership with the Casablanca City Council and in collaboration with the Regional Chamber of Handicrafts, the event was warmly received. Fatima Tihihit expressed her delight at participating in the cultural celebration, while Mohamed Jouahri, CEO of « Casablanca Events and Animation, » emphasized that the event highlights the richness and diversity of Amazigh heritage and underscores a shared commitment to preserving Moroccan culture.

Over three days, musical festivities and craft exhibitions will take place across Casablanca. The program includes traditional dance performances such as « Ahwach Oud Tiznit » and « Ahwach Oud Imntougha, » as well as shows at iconic venues like the Arènes Park in Maarif and Rachidi Square.

The Mohamed Zefzaf Cultural Complex also offers a diverse program blending traditional and modern Amazigh music and dances, featuring artists like « Ahidous Aït Ouaraïn, » « Tifawine Souss, » and « Tafsout Band. »
