Government Council to Convene Next Thursday Under Aziz Akhannouch’s Leadership

Next Thursday, the Government Council will convene under the leadership of Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Council will initially review four draft decrees. The first concerns the establishment of a fee for services provided by the autonomous public entity “National Institute for Judicial Writing and Legal and Judicial Professions,” affiliated with the Ministry of Justice. The second decree defines the modalities for appointing members of the High Health Authority’s Council. The third draft decree pertains to the implementation of Articles 32 and 34 of the law establishing the High Health Authority. The fourth aims to amend the decree regarding the application of the law on the practice of the architectural profession and the establishment of the National Order of Architects.

The Council will continue its session by discussing an agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the African Union of the Blind on establishing a permanent headquarters for the Union in Morocco, signed in Rabat on March 19, 2024, along with a bill approving the said agreement. Subsequently, it will examine an addendum to the headquarters agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture, signed in Banjul on May 4, 2024, along with a bill approving this addendum.

Finally, the Council will conclude its session by reviewing proposals for appointments to high-ranking positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
