Gold Prices Rise Amid Anticipation of U.S. Inflation Report

Gold prices rose on Wednesday as markets awaited a report on U.S. inflation, which could provide greater clarity on the trajectory of American interest rates.
Spot gold prices edged up by 0.1% to $2,681.34 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures increased by 0.5% to $2,696.10 per ounce.
Among other precious metals, spot silver prices rose by 0.1% to $29.92 per ounce. Palladium, however, fell by 0.4% to $935.25, and platinum decreased by 0.2% to $933.70.
