The French multinational Renault announced this Thursday that Morocco ranked as the eighth-largest global market for the brand in 2024 and the top market in Africa. According to a statement, Renault’s sales in Morocco reached 67,686 vehicles last year, representing 38.4% of the local market share—the highest among Renault’s 15 main global markets.

Globally, Renault sold a total of 2,264,815 vehicles in 2024, marking a 1.3% increase compared to 2023. This success is attributed to the launch of new models and continued growth in the electric vehicle segment.

In France, its main market, Renault recorded 541,795 sales, followed by Italy (205,423), Turkey (167,262), Spain (149,697), Germany (144,586), Brazil (139,214), and the United Kingdom (121,711).

In Europe, Renault’s sales grew twice as fast as the market, with a 3.5% increase. The Sandero remains the best-selling model, while hybrid vehicle sales surged by 45%, accounting for 25.5% of sales—up 7.5 points from 2023. Electric vehicles represent 9% of total sales in Europe, reaching 12% in the fourth quarter.

Internationally, Renault achieved significant growth in markets where new models were introduced. For instance, the brand experienced a 10.3% increase in Brazil and a 7.2% rise in Morocco, driven by the Kardian model.

To support the electric transition and strengthen its presence in strategic regions, Renault plans to launch seven new models in 2025.
