Weather Forecast for Today

The Directorate General of Meteorology forecasts cold weather today, accompanied by frost or ice in the eastern region, the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeast, and the northern and central plains.

Low clouds will form early in the morning, with local fog patches in the eastern region.

During the following night, scattered rain is expected in the Rif, Mediterranean coasts, and northern parts of the eastern region. Snowfall is anticipated in the Middle Atlas and the high eastern plateaus. Additionally, partly cloudy skies will prevail overnight in the Middle Atlas, Saïs, and northern Atlantic plains, while dust particles may scatter locally in the southern regions.

Moderately strong winds are expected at times in the Mediterranean front, Atlas peaks, and the south.

Minimum temperatures will range between -8 and -1°C in the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and the southern part of the eastern region, between 6 and 13°C along the coasts, Souss, and Saharan provinces, and between 0 and 6°C in other areas. Daytime temperatures will rise in the Mediterranean front, the eastern region, the Atlas Mountains, and the southeast, but will decrease in other areas.

At sea, waves will be slight to moderate in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough along the Atlantic coasts. Between Tan-Tan and Boujdour, the sea will become locally slight to moderate.
