Ivorian Minister Praises HM King Mohammed VI’s Vision for Peace and Development in Africa
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and the Ivorian Diaspora, Léon Kacou Adom, commended this Friday in Laâyoune the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in promoting peace, stability, and socio-economic development in Africa.
In a joint statement issued after discussions between Mr. Adom and the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the two officials hailed the momentum initiated within the framework of the Atlantic African States process. This initiative aims to transform the Atlantic African space into a region of shared growth and stability and a geostrategic platform filled with opportunities for synergy and cooperation in strategic fields such as the environment, food security, health, energy, logistics, resource pooling, and knowledge exchange.
Furthermore, the parties highlighted progress in implementing the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline project, a symbol of South-South cooperation. Once completed, the project will enhance living conditions and bolster regional economic integration.
The ministers also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the construction and infrastructure under the Cocody Bay rehabilitation project in Abidjan, launched in 2014 by HM King Mohammed VI and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.
