National Savings Forecast for 2025

The High Commission for Planning (HCP) reports that national savings are expected to reach approximately 28.3% of GDP by 2025.
In its economic outlook for 2025, the HCP stated: “Considering net external income at 7.4% of GDP in 2024 and 7.1% in 2025, national savings will reach about 28.3% of GDP in 2025.”
Additionally, the domestic savings rate will rise from 20.7% of GDP in 2024 to 21.1% in 2025.
This increase is attributed to an expected nominal GDP growth of 5.9% and an anticipated rise in national final consumption value by 5.4% in 2025.
Regarding investments, the overall level will account for around 29.8% of GDP in 2025 compared to 29.6% in 2024.
As a result, financing needs will remain steady at approximately 1.5% of GDP for both 2024 and 2025.
