Weather Forecast for Monday
The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts that Monday’s weather will be generally cold to relatively cold, with frost during the night and early morning in the eastern region, the southeast, and the country’s interior plains.
Scattered rain is expected in the regions of Tangier, Loukkos, and western Rif. Light showers are also forecasted for eastern Rif, the Mediterranean coast, and the Oriental region.
Fog patches may form overnight and early in the morning in some areas of the southern provinces. Moderate southwesterly winds will blow over the northern and central plains and the Rif region.
Minimum temperatures will range between -3 and 3 degrees Celsius in the Atlas mountains and their eastern slopes, as well as on the Oriental highlands. Temperatures will vary between 6 and 12 degrees in Souss, the southern provinces, and coastal areas, while the rest of the country will record values between 3 and 7 degrees.
Daytime temperatures are expected to rise slightly.
Regarding sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be calm to slightly rough, while the Strait of Gibraltar will be slightly rough to rough. The sea will be rough to very rough between Cap Spartel and Cap Hafid, and slightly rough to rough along the southern coasts. In the afternoon, the waters between Tarfaya and Laayoune will be calm to slightly rough.
