On Monday, the headquarters of Jerada Province hosted a meeting of the Vigilance and Coordination Committee, chaired by the Provincial Governor, Chakib Belkaid. The meeting aimed to implement the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, focused on taking all necessary measures to mitigate the effects of the cold wave and snowfall on affected populations.
In his speech, the Governor emphasized that this meeting aligns with the ongoing monitoring efforts of the Vigilance Committee in Jerada, in accordance with the ministerial circular for the 2024-2025 National Cold Wave Mitigation Plan. He highlighted the plan’s comprehensive measures, which include mobilizing human and logistical resources to assist affected residents.
Approximately 74,798 individuals, organized into 18,644 households across 84 villages—18 of which are categorized as red zones—are targeted under this plan. Actions also include activating a command center, organizing medical caravans under the “Raâya” program, and providing care for pregnant women.
