Investigation Launched in Aït Melloul Following the Death of a Minor

Security sources reported that the local judicial police unit in the regional security commission of Aït Melloul initiated a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor this Thursday. The investigation concerns the suspected involvement of a man in his thirties in the deliberate harm leading to the death of his three-year-old stepdaughter.

According to the same sources, the judicial police received a notification that a minor girl, bearing physical evidence of abuse, including burns and beatings, had been admitted to the emergency room of the local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Immediately after being informed of the incident, the police, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, conducted field investigations that led to the arrest of the victim’s stepfather, suspected of committing these criminal acts.

The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue for forensic examination, while the suspect was placed in custody as part of the investigation conducted under the prosecutor’s supervision. The inquiry aims to uncover the circumstances and motives behind this tragic case.
