Turkey-Morocco Defense Cooperation: A Strategic Visit

As part of an official visit to Morocco, Turkey’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, Ilker Kılıç, hosted a delegation from the Turkish company « Aselsan, » led by Erhan Olgun, the Middle East and Africa Regional Director. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration between Turkey and Morocco in the fields of arms manufacturing and defense technology.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kılıç expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Turkish delegation to the embassy. Discussions focused on potential cooperation in defense and military technologies. He highlighted that Aselsan is among the world’s top 50 defense companies and plays a leading role in developing and manufacturing defense systems supporting the Turkish Armed Forces.

The discussions between the Turkish delegation and Moroccan officials emphasized potential future collaboration in developing defense systems. They also explored the exchange of expertise in information technology and cybersecurity.

This future partnership reflects the desire of both countries to strengthen military cooperation and build strategic alliances that contribute to regional stability and promote shared security interests.
