Trump Enforces Controversial Policies on Transgender Prisoners
The U.S. federal prisons have been issued new executive directives by President Donald Trump, mandating the transfer of transgender inmates to men’s prisons to serve their sentences. According to a report published yesterday, Friday, by The New York Times, these directives are part of a broader executive order signed by Trump on his first day in office.
The order underscores the U.S. administration’s recognition of only two genders, male and female, and therefore, governmental decisions will be based on this strict classification.
