Atlantic Coast Wave Alert

The Ministry of Equipment and Water has announced that powerful waves from the northwest will impact the Atlantic coasts between Cap Spartel in Tangier and Tarfaya starting Thursday morning. These waves will range in height from 4.0 to 6.5 meters.

In a statement, the ministry specified that the wave heights will be particularly hazardous along the coasts between Mehdia and Safi during the morning and midday on Thursday.

The same source noted that high tide periods on Thursday are expected to range between 2.90 meters and 3.90 meters, occurring between 3:30 and 4:00 AM, and between 3:50 and 4:30 PM.

Finally, weather conditions are expected to improve starting Friday, January 31st, for coasts north of Cap Rhir, and from Saturday, February 1st, 2025, for southern coasts.
