Hakim Ziyech signs with Al-Duhail after leaving Galatasaray

Qatari club Al-Duhail, competing in the Qatar Stars League, announced on Thursday the signing of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, following his departure from Galatasaray.

The 31-year-old winger is set for his first adventure in the Middle East, having begun his career in the Netherlands with Heerenveen, before moving to Twente and later Ajax Amsterdam in 2016. In 2020, he joined Chelsea, where he played until his transfer to Turkey.

Al-Duhail confirmed the signing with a post on X:

Ziyech, who initially joined Galatasaray on loan in 2023 before making the move permanent last summer, played only 11 matches this season and struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup.

Currently, Al-Duhail, coached by Christophe Galtier, leads the league with 29 points after 13 games.
