Weather Forecast for This Saturday

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts a relatively cold to locally cold weather, with local frost in the northern half of the country during the morning and night.

Rain showers or residual drizzles are expected in the eastern region, accompanied by snowfall on the high plateaus in the early morning. Light rain will fall again during the coming night over the Atlantic plains north of El Jadida, the western Rif, the north of the Oriental region, and the eastern Mediterranean coast.

Snowfall is also expected over the High and Middle Atlas mountains, as well as in the high eastern plateaus. Additionally, local fog formations will appear in the northeast, the phosphate plateaus, and the central plains during the morning and night.

Moderate to locally strong wind gusts will blow over the central and southern coasts, the southeast, and the Mediterranean coast.

The minimum temperatures will range between -6°C and 0°C in the Atlas mountains, between 8°C and 15°C near the northern and central coasts, in Chiadma, the Souss region, and the southern provinces, and between 1°C and 7°C in other areas. The maximum temperatures will see a slight increase.

The sea will be slightly to moderately rough in the Mediterranean and north of Asilah, calm to slightly rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough to strong, becoming slightly to moderately rough in the afternoon between Asilah and Cap Tarfaya. Between Cap Tarfaya and Tan-Tan, the sea will be very rough to strong, then rough to strong in the south.
