On the evening of Sunday, February 2, police forces in Marrakech successfully thwarted a major drug smuggling operation. Authorities seized 2,514 units of smuggled pharmaceuticals, including medical pills, vitamins, and injections used as sexual stimulants and weight gain enhancers. Three individuals, aged between 21 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing these potentially harmful substances.

The operation was launched after the national security’s cyber monitoring units detected online advertisements offering illegal pharmaceutical products for sale. This raised suspicions about their use for unlawful purposes, including sexual enhancement. Based on these findings, investigators identified and arrested the main suspect.

Further investigations led to the arrest of two additional individuals involved in the same criminal activity. Searches uncovered large quantities of smuggled medications stored in different locations, reinforcing the likelihood of an organized network distributing these substances nationwide.
