Moroccan international Bilal El Khannouss has been crowned Best Young Talent of 2024 in the Belgian Pro League for the second time. He received the award during the 71st Golden Shoe ceremony, held on Tuesday evening in Middelkerke (Northwest Belgium).

El Khannouss played last season for Genk before moving to Leicester City in August. He succeeds Belgian Arthur Vermeeren, last year’s winner.

At just 20 years old, the Moroccan midfielder becomes the third player to win this award twice, following Youri Tielemans (2014, 2015) and Charles De Ketelaere (2020, 2021).

Additionally, the 71st Golden Shoe, recognizing the best player in the Belgian league, was awarded to Hans Vanaken (Club Brugge). Meanwhile, Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta) was named Best Belgian Player Abroad.

Finally, Simon Mignolet (Club Brugge) won the Best Goalkeeper award, while Nicky Hayen, coach of the same club, was voted Best Coach after leading the team to their 19th league title.
