Morocco’s Human Rights Recommendations Adopted by the Arab League
The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) has welcomed the adoption of Morocco’s recommendations by the Arab Permanent Human Rights Committee of the League of Arab States during its 55th session, held over two days in Kuwait.
According to a statement from the Council, these recommendations focus on strengthening cooperation among Arab countries in the legal and institutional protection of the family, as well as addressing emerging human rights issues such as artificial intelligence and business-related human rights.
The CNDH also recalled that in January 2022, it had submitted a memorandum urging the committee to include the topic of equality and gender parity in its agenda, along with an explanatory note on emerging human rights challenges.
The Council is participating in this session (February 4–5) through its representative, Mr. Mohamed Sabri, advisor to the President of the CNDH, at the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, as an independent observer in the Arab Permanent Human Rights Committee.
