WhatsApp has announced a major update to its ChatGPT integration, enabling users to send images and voice notes to the chatbot. Previously, interactions were limited to text messages only.

With this update, users worldwide can upload images and send voice messages to ChatGPT, which will analyze them and respond with text. This enhancement makes AI interaction more flexible, especially for those who prefer voice input over typing.

WhatsApp now allows users to link their accounts to ChatGPT, whether they are using a free or paid plan. Subscribers to « Plus » and « Pro » plans will gain access to exclusive features previously available only through OpenAI’s apps and platforms.

To use this feature, users must save a specific number in their contacts, restart WhatsApp, and then find ChatGPT’s official account in their contact list. This allows seamless conversations via text, images, or voice messages.

This integration aims to provide a smoother experience, particularly for those with slow internet connections or data limitations. It also enables users to leverage AI capabilities without needing a separate app, saving storage space on their devices.
