Government Council Meeting Presided by Aziz Akhannouch

The Government Council is set to convene tomorrow, Thursday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

According to a statement from the government presidency, the meeting will begin with a presentation by the Minister of Health and Social Protection regarding the spread of measles (Bouhmaroun) and the government measures taken to contain it. This will be followed by a briefing from the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests on the status and progress of the 2024-2025 agricultural season.

The council will then review two draft decrees. The first concerns the criteria and procedures for defining close or distant protection perimeters around public water supply facilities, as well as the infrastructures, projects, and activities that may be prohibited or regulated within these areas.

The second draft decree relates to the conditions and procedures for defining conservation and prohibition zones, along with the granting of permits and privileges within these zones.

The meeting will conclude with the review of proposals for high-level appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
