The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has announced that the health authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have decided to suspend the mandatory requirement for proof of meningitis vaccination for individuals wishing to perform Umrah.

However, the ministry emphasizes that, due to its effectiveness in preventing meningitis, it strongly recommends that pilgrims receive the vaccine before traveling.

The statement also confirms that the vaccine is available at accredited health centers across all regions and provinces of the kingdom. The list of these centers can be accessed on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
