The Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Prisoners organized, this Friday in Casablanca, a distribution of equipment and materials intended for income-generating projects.

This initiative, carried out in partnership with the Wilaya of the Casablanca-Settat region and under the supervision of the governor of Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi district, benefited 32 former inmates from various correctional facilities within the Casablanca-Settat region.

With a total budget of 1,121,215.07 dirhams, this operation is part of the Foundation’s strategic program, in line with the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which aim to uphold the dignity of prisoners through rehabilitation and reintegration programs.

This program stems from an agreement between the Foundation and the regional human development committees of Casablanca-Settat, aiming to facilitate the reintegration of vulnerable groups. The distributed equipment covers various fields, including catering, crafts, and services, aligning with the beneficiaries’ skills and labor market needs.

The Foundation’s General Coordinator, Abdelouahed Jamali Idrissi, emphasized the importance of this initiative in reintegrating former inmates into society and the economy. He added that this effort supports the economic inclusion of vulnerable individuals, prevents recidivism, and complements existing training and support programs.
