Mohammed V University in Rabat: Top Moroccan and Maghrebian University in Webometrics 2025 Ranking

Mohammed V University in Rabat has been ranked as the best university in Morocco and the Maghreb in the January edition of the Webometrics 2025 ranking, which assesses universities’ ability to produce, disseminate, and share knowledge on an international scale.

According to a statement from Mohammed V University, it has once again affirmed its status as a distinguished research university, ranking among the top 5% of universities worldwide and securing the first position nationally and regionally.

This outstanding performance comes in a context of intense competition, with 31,364 universities and institutions evaluated this year.

The university excelled in key indicators such as the visibility and popularity of its website, the quality and impact of its researchers on Google Scholar, and the number of publications among the top 10% of indexed journals in the Scopus bibliographic database (2019-2023).

The statement also highlighted the dynamism and commitment of the university’s various stakeholders.
