Paris Saint-Germain crushes Monaco to strengthen its lead

Paris Saint-Germain continued its dominant run in Ligue 1 with a resounding 4-1 victory over AS Monaco in the top clash of Matchday 21, held on Friday night at the Parc des Princes.

The Parisians wasted no time in taking the lead, as Portuguese midfielder Vitinha found the net in the 6th minute. In the second half, new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored his first goal for PSG in the 54th minute.

Ousmane Dembélé stole the spotlight with a brilliant brace in the 57th and 90th minutes, bringing his season tally to 16 goals and cementing his position as Ligue 1’s top scorer.

Despite Monaco’s efforts, Denis Zakaria’s goal in the 17th minute was not enough to turn the game around.

The match also saw a historic moment with Libya’s Moutasem Al-Musrati making his debut in the 62nd minute, becoming the first-ever Libyan player in Ligue 1 history.

With this victory, PSG strengthens its lead at the top with 53 points, while Monaco remains temporarily in third place with 37 points.
