Arrest of Three Suspects Linked to a Criminal Network in Rabat

The Anti-Gang Unit of the Rabat Security Service, based on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, arrested three individuals on Saturday, February 8. They are suspected of being involved in a criminal network engaged in illegal drug trafficking and possessing a hunting rifle with the intent to commit physical assaults.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspects had taken a rental car without returning it to its owner. When the police intervened, they used a hunting rifle in a warning shot attempt to facilitate their escape.
The security investigations, carried out in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, led to the identification and arrest of the three suspects in a house in Rabat. They were caught in possession of one kilogram of hashish and three bladed weapons of various sizes.
Search operations also resulted in the seizure of the hunting rifle, which had been carefully hidden in the Akrach area on the outskirts of Rabat.
For investigative and judicial purposes, the suspects were placed in custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to clarify all circumstances and motives behind these criminal acts.
