AS FAR Appoints Alexandre dos Santos as New Head Coach

AS FAR officially announced this Sunday the appointment of Portuguese coach Alexandre dos Santos as the new head coach of the team.

In a post on its official Facebook page, the club wrote: « Welcome to our new coach, Alexandre dos Santos! »

The 48-year-old coach has previously managed Porto Luanda (Angola), Alverca, and Real Sport Clube (Portugal).

He has also served as an assistant coach for several prestigious clubs, including FC Porto and Sporting Braga (Portugal), Sharjah (UAE), and Stade Malherbe Caen (France – Ligue 1). He has been without a club since leaving CS Sfaxien last December.

This appointment follows the club’s mutual termination of its contract with French coach Hubert Velud, announced last Wednesday.

Currently, AS FAR ranks second in the league standings with 37 points, after their 3-2 victory over Ittihad Tanger on Saturday in the 20th round of the championship.
