Casablanca Stock Exchange Starts in the Red

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened Tuesday on a negative note, with its main index « Masi » down 0.17% to 16,321.69 points.

The « MASI.20 » index, tracking the top 20 companies, fell 0.27% to 1,314.67 points. The ESG index (MASI.ESG) also dropped 0.28%, settling at 1,141.74 points.

On the other hand, the « MASI Mid and Small Cap » index, reflecting small and medium-sized enterprises, rose 0.23% to 1,734.79 points.

Notable declines included « Emitir » (-7.37%), « M2M Group » (-4.26%), and « Macrodata » (-2.99%). Conversely, « SNEP » (+2.27%), « Touissit Mining » (+1.78%), and « Bank of Morocco » (+1.75%) saw gains.

The « Masi » had ended Monday’s session up 0.14%.
