Magnitude 5.2 Earthquake Strikes Ouezzane Province

The National Institute of Geophysics, part of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research, reported that a 5.2-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck Ouezzane province on Monday evening.
The earthquake’s epicenter, recorded at a depth of 20 kilometers, was located at 34.954° north latitude and 5.635° west longitude.
According to the institute, the tremor occurred at 11:48 PM and 43 seconds in the Brikcha commune, within Ouezzane province.
Local authorities confirmed that no damage was reported following the earthquake.
