The Marrakech police department launched a judicial investigation this Tuesday, February 11, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. The investigation aims to uncover all criminal acts attributed to seven individuals, aged between 25 and 43, including four women, suspected of involvement in operating a brothel and engaging in pimping activities.

The National Security cyber surveillance unit detected advertisements on a social media page operated from a sub-Saharan African country, offering sexual services in Marrakech.

The investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspects inside an apartment in Marrakech. During the search, law enforcement officers seized condoms and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this illegal activity.

The detained suspects have been placed in police custody as part of the ongoing judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office. Investigations continue to track down other individuals involved in the case.
