A 25-year-old woman, residing in Tiznit, passed away from asphyxiation in the bathroom of her apartment after inhaling butane gas emitted from a water heater.
According to local sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening. The victim, a waitress at a local café, was taking a shower in her rented apartment when she suffocated due to carbon monoxide inhalation.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene immediately after being notified of the situation. The young woman’s body was transported to the morgue for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, security authorities have launched an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
