Seizure of 12,000 Drug Pills in Tétouan and Arrest of Two Suspects

Police forces in Tétouan, acting on precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 12,000 drug tablets on Friday. Two suspects, aged 21 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of being linked to a criminal network involved in the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

The operation took place in Tétouan, where the suspects were apprehended in a light vehicle while in possession of hallucinogenic pills. A subsequent search led to the discovery of 12,000 « Rivotril » tablets, in addition to a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from criminal activities.

The suspects have been placed under judicial custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, as investigations continue to uncover further details and potential links to this criminal operation.
