A Royal Commitment to Inclusive Social Justice

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch stated on Monday before the House of Councillors that the social protection initiative launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI is the cornerstone of a comprehensive royal vision aimed at building a fairer, more equitable, and inclusive Morocco.
Speaking at the opening of the 9th International Parliamentary Forum on Social Justice, held under the High Patronage of the King, Mr. Akhannouch emphasized that the government, in line with this visionary approach, has made social justice a top priority, turning it into « a true governmental commitment reflecting the dedication to ensuring fairness and equality among all citizens. »
In a speech delivered on his behalf by Mustapha Baitas, Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, the Prime Minister highlighted the efforts made to implement this ambitious royal project, particularly in expanding health coverage and establishing a direct social support system, both considered top priorities.
Regarding the expansion of health coverage, Mr. Akhannouch noted that the government has successfully established a comprehensive social protection system, addressing previous inefficiencies that hindered its effectiveness. He also emphasized the success of ensuring access to healthcare for vulnerable populations through the « AMO Tadamon » scheme, which has provided coverage to approximately 11.1 million beneficiaries, including their dependents, since December 1, 2022.
