Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Higher

The Casablanca Stock Exchange started trading on a positive note this Tuesday, with its main index, MASI, rising by 0.21% to settle at 16,680.07 points.
The MASI.20 index, which tracks the performance of the top 20 listed companies, also advanced by 0.18% to 1,346.18 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which includes companies with the best ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings, saw a slight increase of 0.01%, reaching 1,152.76 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, which monitors the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises, gained 0.26%, closing at 1,772.64 points.
Top Gainers
The biggest risers of the session included:
- Jet Contractors (+6.09% / 2,440 MAD),
- Société Minière Imiter (+4.89% / 2,790 MAD),
- Sonasid (+4.5% / 1,369 MAD),
- Afriquia Gaz (+4.33% / 4,800 MAD),
- Maghrebail (+4.31% / 387 MAD).
Top Losers
On the downside, the biggest decliners were:
- Zalagh Holding (-5.97% / 136.3 MAD),
- Maghreb Oxygène (-4.26% / 450 MAD),
- Salafin (-3.17% / 580 MAD),
- Sothema (-3% / 1,101 MAD),
- Colorado (-2.46% / 59 MAD).
It is worth noting that the MASI index closed Monday’s session with a 1.17% gain.
