French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the International Agricultural Show in Paris this Saturday morning, alongside Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

During the ceremony, Macron and Akhannouch cut the symbolic ribbon, marking the official opening of the event. Morocco, the first foreign country to be honored as a guest, is represented by a large delegation, including Agriculture Minister Ahmed Bouri, Morocco’s Ambassador to Paris, Samira Sitail, as well as key players in the agricultural sector and members of the French government.

On this occasion, Akhannouch signed the show’s golden book.

The 2025 edition (February 22 – March 2) highlights Morocco, reflecting the exceptional relations between the two countries and the uniqueness of the Franco-Moroccan partnership. This recognition also underscores Morocco’s status as a regional leader in smart and sustainable agriculture.

Morocco’s pavilion, located at the heart of the exhibition, spans 476 m², showcasing the richness and diversity of its agricultural sector.

The 61st edition of the Paris Agricultural Show, under the theme “French Pride,” expects over 600,000 visitors, featuring 4,000 animals and 1,000 exhibitors across 16 hectares and nine halls.

In a reciprocal gesture, France will be the guest of honor at the International Agricultural Show in Meknes next April, symbolizing the strong cooperation and complementarity between the two nations. This partnership extends beyond trade exchanges to address major challenges such as food security, water resource management, and agricultural innovation.
