Morocco Honored at the Paris International Agricultural Show

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion this Saturday at the Paris International Agricultural Show, where Morocco is the first foreign country to be honored as a guest of honor.

Accompanied by French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests Ahmed Bouari, and Morocco’s Ambassador to Paris Samira Sitail, Akhannouch officially opened the pavilion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

During his visit, the Prime Minister toured the pavilion and interacted with Moroccan exhibitors. The event was attended by several prominent French political figures, including Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Naïma Moutchou, Chairman of the France-Morocco Friendship Group in the Senate Christian Cambon, and Senator Hervé Marseille.

Speaking to the press, Akhannouch emphasized that Morocco’s participation as a guest of honor reflects the strategic partnership between Morocco and France, driven by King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron. He highlighted the importance of Moroccan agriculture and the role of farmers in this collaboration.

The 2025 edition of the Paris Agricultural Show, taking place from February 22 to March 2, celebrates Morocco and showcases the uniqueness of the Franco-Moroccan partnership. The Moroccan pavilion, spanning 476 m² in the heart of the exhibition, highlights the richness and diversity of Morocco’s agricultural sector.

As a reciprocal gesture, France will be the guest of honor at the International Agricultural Show in Meknès next April, further strengthening bilateral cooperationt.
