Barcelona considers extending Hansi Flick’s contract

FC Barcelona is considering extending the contract of its German coach, Hansi Flick, following the team’s impressive performances under his leadership, both domestically and in European competitions.

Flick took over last summer, replacing Xavi Hernández, and has since managed to steer the Catalan club back on track. According to a report published by « Football », citing the Spanish newspaper « Sport », club president Joan Laporta is fully convinced by Flick’s work and aims to extend his contract to ensure the team’s technical stability.

Although Flick’s current contract runs until 2026, the club’s sporting director, Deco, has confirmed that the management is handling the matter calmly and that the renewal will take place at the right time.

Laporta hopes to finalize the extension this summer, with the coming weeks expected to be crucial in determining the German coach’s future with the team.
