Changes in School Hours During Ramadan in Morocco

The Ministry of National Education announced this Thursday morning a change in school hours across all educational levels in Morocco to align with the schedule of the holy month.
This adjustment includes delaying morning entry by 30 minutes and advancing dismissal by the same duration. Additionally, class sessions will be shortened to accommodate students’ needs during fasting.
The ministry’s circular also emphasizes the need to adapt these schedules to local specificities, especially in rural areas where additional modifications might be necessary.
For primary education, students will start 30 minutes later and finish 30 minutes earlier, with lessons adjusted to suit their learning capacity during Ramadan.
For middle and high school, class hours will be as follows: morning sessions from 08:40 AM to 12:00 PM, including short breaks, and afternoon sessions from 12:30 PM to 03:50 PM, except on Fridays, where specific adjustments might be applied.
