Growth of the Telecommunications Market in Morocco in 2024

The Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts reported that the total number of phone subscribers in Morocco increased by 4.3%, reaching 58.3 million by the end of 2024.

According to the directorate’s economic report, the mobile penetration rate hit a record 158.3%, up from 150.9% the previous year and 131.1% at the end of 2019.

As for landline telephony, the report highlights a 5.7% increase in 2024, following an 8.7% rise the year before.

Meanwhile, Internet subscriptions exceeded 40.2 million by the end of 2024, setting a record penetration rate of 109.2%.
