Ramadan to Begin on March 2, 2025
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has announced that the holy month of Ramadan 1446H will begin on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
According to an official statement, after observing the crescent moon on Friday, February 28, 2025 (29th Sha’ban 1446H), and consulting with religious affairs officials and Royal Armed Forces units involved in the observation, it was confirmed that the moon was not sighted.
As a result, the month of Sha’ban will complete 30 days, making Sunday, March 2, 2025, the official start of Ramadan.
The statement concluded with prayers for blessings upon His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the Royal Family, and the Moroccan people, wishing prosperity and success to the entire Islamic nation.
