Saudi Arabia Announces the Beginning of Ramadan

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has declared that the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Saturday after the sighting of the crescent moon.
In a tweet published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Royal Court stated: « The Supreme Court has decided that tomorrow, Saturday, March 1, 2025, will mark the first day of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH. »
Oman was the first Arab country to announce that Saturday would be the first day of Ramadan after confirming the crescent sighting.
This year, the beginning of Ramadan coincides in a rare occurrence with the start of March in the Gregorian calendar.
