Seizure of Medications and Arrests for Drug Trafficking in Nador and Oujda

Police officers from the regional security department of Nador, in coordination with their counterparts in Oujda and based on intelligence provided by the General Directorate for National Security, seized 1,160 medical tablets on Thursday evening and arrested a suspect involved in the possession and trafficking of drugs, psychotropic pills, and smuggled medical substances that could endanger public health.
According to a security source, Oujda police arrested two brothers in the act of drug trafficking, seizing psychotropic pills and medications used for illegal abortions. They were found in possession of 1,423 medical tablets of various types and three kilograms of cannabis resin. A judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.
Further investigations led to the arrest of a third suspect in Nador, suspected of participating in this criminal activity. A search operation resulted in the seizure of an additional 1,160 tablets and a vehicle believed to have been used to facilitate these illegal acts.
The suspect was placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent authorities to determine all circumstances of the case and uncover possible national and international connections to this criminal network.
