Weather Alert: Snowfall and Heavy Rain Expected in Several Regions

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that snowfall (5 to 30 cm) on elevations exceeding 1700 meters and heavy rain (20 to 30 mm), locally stormy and accompanied by hail, are expected today, Monday, and tomorrow, Tuesday, in several regions of Morocco.

According to the orange-level alert bulletin, snowfall between 15 and 30 cm will affect the provinces of Azilal, Béni Mellal, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz, while 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected in Ifrane, Boulemane, Taroudant, and Chichaoua from Monday noon until Tuesday at 7 AM.

Additionally, heavy rain, locally stormy and accompanied by hail, is expected in the provinces of Figuig, Errachidia, Midelt, and Tinghir, with rainfall ranging between 20 and 30 mm, from midnight to 7 AM on Tuesday.
