Version: Fake News Alert: Bank Al-Maghrib Denounces Identity Fraud

Bank Al-Maghrib has reported the circulation of a fraudulent media content disguised as a journalistic article, shared via a fake link impersonating an official news website. The institution has refuted these misleading claims that misuse its identity.

According to an official statement reviewed by Morocco 24, « this false content falsely claims the existence of a fictitious investment platform affiliated with Bank Al-Maghrib, fraudulently using its name and the image of its governor, likely leveraging artificial intelligence technologies. »

Bank Al-Maghrib has clarified that these allegations are entirely baseless.

The institution has taken all necessary measures to protect its reputation and rights, emphasizing that the falsified article makes false promises of financial gains linked to the alleged investment platform.
