Morocco Records Significant Tourism Growth in 2025

The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy announced that tourist arrivals in Morocco reached approximately 2.7 million by the end of February, marking a 24% increase compared to 2024. This represents an additional 521,000 tourists, with strong performance from key tourist markets.
According to the ministry’s statement, Morocco continues to shine on the international tourism scene, achieving record figures for the second month in a row in 2025.
In February alone, the number of arrivals reached nearly 1.4 million, reflecting a 22% increase compared to the same period last year—an additional 248,000 tourists. This growth includes both foreign visitors (+18%, or 119,000 additional tourists) and Moroccans residing abroad (+26%, or 130,000 additional visitors).
Tourism Minister Fatima-Zahra Ammor highlighted that half a million additional tourists in just two months is a remarkable figure that confirms Morocco’s status as a world-class travel destination. She also emphasized the direct impact of tourism on the country’s economy, job creation, and youth integration. Finally, she praised Morocco’s tourism strategy, led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which continues to yield tangible results.
