Exploitation and Corruption: Former Social Welfare Official Under Fire

The regional coordinator of the Advisory Body for Youth and Childhood Affairs in the Casablanca-Settat region, Hani El Haraq, has sparked a heated debate after exposing a major scandal involving a former official who managed the Ain Chock Charity and other social care institutions in the city.
During his appearance on the Moroccan radio show « Sabah Al Khair Ya Maghrib », El Haraq made serious accusations against this former official, alleging that he exploited female residents of these institutions and was involved in human trafficking, in addition to causing the displacement of many young women.
He revealed that this individual, who held his position for nearly 24 years before being recently dismissed for embezzling public funds, committed severe abuses against former residents. Some of them are now mothers, while others were forced into prostitution in foreign countries, including Turkey.
El Haraq also shared shocking testimonies from victims, stating that the former official used to shower girls who complied with his demands with money and gifts, while harshly punishing those who refused or opposed his actions.
